William C. Richards, of Hinsdale, Illinois passed away peacefully February 7, 2014 at the age of 96.

W.C. “Bill” Richards was a chemist and the President of the W.C. Richards Company, which he founded in 1937. His early years were spent supplying military needs during WWII but his name became near legendary in the industry for providing high performance interior and exterior coatings.
Bill was known for his strong will and excellent work ethic and was still seen around the office until the ripe age of 92. In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, growing herbs, and traveling around the world with his beloved wife, Grace.
Family & Friends will gather for a visitation Thursday, February 13th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service 11:00 a.m. at the Union Church of Hinsdale, 137 S. Garfield Street, Hinsdale.
Interment Private.
