I worked with both Kelly and Elaine at the Oak Lawn Library. Elaine was a wonderful co-worker and a wonderful person. Rest in peace, Elaine.

My heart-filled thoughts and prayers go out to the Family of Mrs. McClure. I have known the McClure Family since I was in grade school with Maureen. Mrs. McClure was a wonderful, warm, beautiful person with a great sense of humor and amazing smile. She always welcomed you into her Home as if you were part of the Family though you always made sure you 'took your shoes off'! She has touched so many and will be missed dearly. Philip F. Tortorici
91, of Palos Heights suddenly passed away on November 18, 2020. A loving husband and devoted father who was young at heart. Phil was born March 26, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY and was a resident of Palos Heights since 1959. His best friend, wife, and love of his life Doris passed away earlier this year. He is survived by his children, Denise (Mike Bonome); Sherry (Al Flores); Linda (Bill Furie); Lisa (Tom Cumbo) and Dave (Beth). He was an adoring grandfather of many grandchildren who will miss him greatly. Brother of the late Sam Tortorici (Dorothy). He was a beloved uncle and dear friend to many. Phil served in the Korean War. He later graduated from NIU with a Degree in Education and then received his Masters Degree at IU. He was an Industrial Arts and Diversified Occupation teacher at Argo Community High School from 1959-1992 and was coach of the Boys Tennis and Golf teams. He was a devoted member of VICA/Skills USA, of which he and Doris were honored with a Life Time Achievement Award. In the 1980’s he and Doris were a part of the Rainbow Strollers, a square dance group. He was an active member of St. Alexander’s Church serving as an usher for over 55 years and a member of the Theodore Guerin Council of the Knights of Columbus. After retirement, he worked as a starter at Cog Hill Country Club. He was also a member of the Orland-Palos VFW 2604, Palos Heights and Worth Township Senior Clubs, Palos Garden Club and Orland Park Health & Fitness Center. A combined celebration of Phil and Doris’ fabulous lives and their enduring legacies will be held summer of 2021.

Donna Jean Quinlan (nee Jolink)
Of Palos Heights passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2020. She was born to Dick and Adeline Jolink in Chandler, Minnesota on August 7, 1951, who proceeded her in death. Donna is survived by her loving son, Adam Quinlan (22) and her six siblings, Rae Kozlowski (Chandler, AZ), Dave (Audrey) Jolink (DeMotte, IN), Patty Van Dyke (Lynden WA), Bonnie (Bob) Jonkman (DeMotte, IN), Merri (Larry) Zordan (Frankfort, IL) and Deb (Frank) McConnell (South Bend, IN) and many nieces and nephews. Donna graduated from Illiana Christian High School and attended Calvin College. After college, she worked in retail sales for a number of years. She then started her food service career at Bussean Catering, later to become manager, for over twenty years, at the Chateau Bu-Sche’. Donna was a devoted mother to Adam. She supported his growth and development through school, his love of horses and his accomplishments in Taekwondo. She also was so proud of his current achievement at the Chicago Ridge Fire Department. Donna was a cherished big sister, who listened, counseled and encouraged through times of happiness and sorrow. She was also a treasured friend and known to many for her patience, generosity, and understanding. Visitation & Interment will be by INVITATION ONLY. **Phase 4 COVID 19 mandates; 25 guests or less can gather in the funeral home; masks are required to attend the funeral services; no loitering is allowed in order to accommodate all guests paying their respects and funeral home kitchen is closed to food and refreshments. Donna, pls rest now. Last time I saw you you were outside with dexter, you loved him so much. You worked hard all your life, and I always thought their was a sweet melancholy About you. You gave everything to so many, and always talked so fondly of Adam. Your eyes would twinkle at his mention. Time to take it easy now, if you find my family, tell them I miss them.

I am so sorry and surprised to hear this. May you rest in peace Donna. You and I became friends when you purchased your condo from my client. I know you loved your condo and lived Oak Hilks. You have given me so many business referrals. And then you decided to get your real estate license. You knew how to stage a home. You knew how to price the home. You knew how to do open houses. You were fantastic. We talked thru so many issues both professionally and personally. You took such good care of everyone in your condo building. Your heart soul and energy were always on others before yourself. You have a special place in heaven. I am so sorry and will miss you Donna. 💔🙏

Peacefully passed away Sunday, November 8th at the age of 76, survived by his son, Brian Georges Sr (Peggy), daughter, Deborah (Paul) Georges Brodlo, and his lifelong Partner and Caregiver, Susan Urban. Grandfather to Randy & Brian Georges Jr., and great grandfather to Paige, Zoey and Hazel Georges. Dear brother of; Gene & Rich Georges. Fond companion of "Maggie Mae". Ron enjoyed a life that entailed the outdoors and was happiest when fishing. He was a highly creative fun-loving guy who even made his own fishing lures and knew exactly where to find the fish. Ron was his name and fishing was his game. He has now landed in God’s landing net peacefully asleep, and in his mercy be judged as good enough to keep. Due to Covid-19 and safety for all, funeral services will be private, and a memorial service will be determined for the future.

Fond father of The Late David (Tracy), Fred, Tom, Robert (Lisa nee Webber) & Lori (Glenn) Mathias. Grandfather of David, Michael, Frederic, Erin (Bryan) Nemeth, Colin, Kelsey (Chuck) Passi, Brian, Madison, Caylee, Claire, Samantha, Haylie, and Lucas, Jessica & Marcus Mathias. Great Grandfather of Jack & Emma Nemeth and Rylee Mulhausen Brother of the late Jane Willenman Fred served our country in the Navy with the “Fighting Seabees” 1949-1952. Served on District 230 school board for over a decade. Proud member of American Legion and VFW. The only thing he loved more than baseball was his family! “Over and out….good buddy!” Funeral Services and Burial were held in private.
