Alice Scudella

Alice Scudella, age 99, late of Hoffman Estates, previously resided in Palos Heights for 53 years and Chicago, Illinois. Alice was born in the village of Adegliacco in the Friuli region of Italy, one of 8 children. She met her husband, Frank late in World War II when the US 5th Army, in which he was serving, came through her village. He returned to Adegliacco to marry her on August 10, 1947. They settled in Chicago, where Frank had lived most of his life. Loving mother to three children, Frank V. (the late Patrice), David (Beverly Johnson) and Diana (Dan ReCupido); beloved Nonna to 6 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister in Italy. Alice worked as a seamstress for many years, first at Society Brand clothes before starting her family and later at various custom drapery shops, including Fabric Mart. She loved gardening and took pride in her flower beds and vegetable garden. She also loved spending time with her family and occasionally enjoyed a good glass of wine or a cocktail. Alice loved opera music and was often heard singing her favorite arias. Alice had a quick-witted sense of humor that could make you laugh. 

Visitation and Funeral Services will be private. Burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
