Betty T. Riley (nee Horan)

94, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, in Palos Heights, IL. Born to the late Matthew T. and Esther (Horan) Riley, she was reared on the South side of Chicago.  She earned her B.A. degree from St. Xavier College and her Masters in Reading from DePaul University.  For decades she was a dedicated special needs teacher in the Chicago Public Schools.  Known for her beautiful voice, she was a long-time member of the St. Alexander choir and the Sweet Adelines. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her Godmother Gertrude (Horan) Noonan.  She will be remembered fondly by cousins in the Collins, Sehring, Vais, and Noonan families.   Visitation Monday, October 10th from 9:00 am until time of chapel prayers, 11:00 am at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W 127th Street, Palos Heights.
