Daniel Moody Bauer (born February 5, 1954) was reunited with his Savior on January 2, 2025. He was a devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness radiated everywhere he went. His steady presence, deep faith, and genuine care for others touched all who knew him. Dan was a man of steadfast faith in Jesus, which he carried with him daily and which guided every aspect of his life. He was always there for others, making people feel safe, seen, and reassured. His presence was warm, steady, and deeply comforting. He was the rock of our family—faithful, dependable, and fiercely protective of those he loved. He found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life. Dan dearly loved his faithful dog companions, Ellie and Lucy, who brought him great comfort and companionship. He also loved classic rock, old-school country music, and jazz, and enjoyed thoughtful conversation and learning about history. Dan had a deep appreciation for the past and for beauty in all its forms. He treasured his collection of arrowheads and historical artifacts, each piece carefully gathered and admired for the story it told. He also had a love for photography and art, finding meaning in capturing moments, details, and scenes that others might overlook. Dan was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John and Rosemary Bauer; his loving and beautiful wife, Linda, with whom he shared a lifetime of happiness, devotion, and cherished memories; and his brothers, Michael, Benny, Paul, and David (Dolores), all of whom he is now joyfully reunited with in Heaven. He continues to be deeply loved by his siblings here on Earth: John (Karen), Jim (Tina), Stephen (Norma), Beth (Carlos), Ruth (Rich), and Joy (Peter). He is also lovingly remembered by his son, Josh (Kristin); his cherished grandchildren, Jada, Cheyenne and Ryland; and many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly. Dan’s legacy of faith, kindness, curiosity, strength, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
