Edward J. “Red” Peterson, age 90, Retired C.F.D., Old Squad 3 & Proud U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Loving husband of the late Mary “Cherie” (nee Stanley) Peterson for 62 years. Proud father of Sally, the late Michael, Thomas; Alsip P.D. (Pat), James; Crestwood F.D. (Debbie) & the late William “Billy” Peterson. Fond grandfather of Missy, Christopher, Julie, Kate, James II, Timothy, Tyler & Amy. Cherished great grandfather of many. Visitation Saturday, June 18th from 9 a.m. until time of chapel prayers 10:30 a.m. at the Kerry Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights proceeding to Incarnation Church, Mass 11:00 a.m. Entombment Saint Mary Cemetery.
