Ed was born fourth out of seven children to Gustaf and Karoline Kirnbauer raised in Chicago.

Ed married Barbara (Gannon) on October 15, 1960 in Chicago. They welcomed their first child Ed in 1964, followed by Rob, Steve, Jim and Karyn.

Beloved husband of 65 years.

Devoted father of Ed (Christine) Kirnbauer, Rob (Dovien) Kirnbauer, Steve (Dee) Kirnbauer, Jim (Heather) Kirnbauer, Karyn (Dave) Dinkelman.

Cherished grandfather of: Logan, Emily, Kris, Josh, Zach, Bima, Megan, Austin, Cole and Abigail.

Loving brother of Eleanor (Fred) Alsen and the late Elsie (Duke) Lavelle, Walter Kirnbauer, William (Carol) Kirnbauer, Daniel Kirnbauer, John (Teresa) Kirnbauer.

Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews.
