George J. Scanlon Navy Veteran of WWII & Member of the VFW Post 450 in Alsip. Papa was not just our Papa George he was everyone's Papa George. He never turned anyone away and touched every heart he met. We should all think like that man, with your heart and your mind, not with hate but with selfless thoughts. Beloved husband of Jacqueline (nee Rarick) Scanlon. Loving father of Timmy (Ande), late Donny, Cindy (Donald), Sue (Jay), Michelle (Calvin) & Jennifer (Patrick). Proud grandfather of Jacqueline, Hailey Ann, Alexander, Richie & Harlie. Visitation Monday, March 2nd from 3 until 9 p.m. with a chapel service at 7 p.m. at the Kerry Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights. Interment will be private.
