Georgina R. Reynes (nee Angulo).

Georgina R. Reynes (nee Angulo). Georgina Rosa Reynes met her husband at the university of Havana, where she completed pharmacy school and waited for her husband to finish his medical training. After a 7 year courtship they were married when he called to say he had a weekend leave from his residency in Chicago and was coming home to marry her. She borrowed everything she needed from friends and family and off she went on her long awaited adventure to the United States that would become her life. This is how she lived her life always ready at the spur of the moment. Georgina tried everything, tasted everything and risked everything for the love of her husband, children and family. Everywhere she went she made friends and inspired strangers. The most important goal of her life was to unite her family both physically and otherwise. Every moment in her life was fresh with possibility and even at the end of her life she often insisted that she was experiencing everything for the first time with the same joy of discovery. A favorite refrain, "primera noticia" spoke both her love of everything new and her disdain of being left out of anything at all. Her family and friends will both miss and honor her spirit. Long shall she live in our hearts!" Beloved wife of the late Carlos J. Reynes, MD. Loving mother of Margarita (Beth), Marilyn (Herbert), Dr. Carlos M. (Linda), Raul (Bonnie), & Anna Marie (Rodney). Devoted grandmother of Claire, Alexander, Celeste, Liam, & Mia. Dear sister of Giselda (the late Manuel) Corrales. Proud aunt of Manuel, Giselda & Gina.
