Gladys Avakian (nee Samarjian), age 91. Devoted daughter of the late: Marderos & Araxie Samarjian. Cherished sister of the late: Virginia & Genevieve Samarjian. Loving mom of Nancy (Gary) O’Rourke, Denise (Dennis) Stachowiak & Mark (Jennifer) Avakian. Adoring grandma of Matthew (Alyssa) & Katherine O’Rourke, Nicholas & Elizabeth Stachowiak and Hunter & Alex Avakian. Dear cousin & aunt of many. Proud of her Armenian heritage. Family & Friends will gather Thursday, December 22nd for a lying-in-state from 9:30 a.m. until time of service 11:00 a.m. at Saints Joachim & Anne Armenian Apostolic Church, 12600 S. Ridgeland Avenue, Palos Heights proceeding to Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery for committal prayers. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Saints Joachim & Anne Armenian Apostolic Church Endowment Fund would be appreciated
