James W. Boyle

James W. Boyle, 81, of Palos Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, in Palos Park, Illinois.

Born on June 22, 1945, Jim lived a life focused on family. He was a proud veteran and lifelong Catholic. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, generous heart, and unwavering love for those closest to him.

Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Ellen Boyle, whom he adored and whose memory he cherished every day. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Roseanne Donnelly, Mary Agnes Boyle, and Sonny Boyle.

He leaves behind a loving family who will miss him dearly: his sons, Patrick (Aimee) Kelly, Jim (Rachel) Boyle, and Michael Boyle; and his beloved grandchildren, Hannah, Ryan, and Josh Kelly, and Lily, Samuel, Jackson, and Maxwell Boyle. He was a proud grandfather who found great joy in watching his grandchildren grow and celebrating their accomplishments.

Jim served in the Army for 6 years. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal and received a Marksman Badge. He was married to Mary Ellen for 48 years. He attended St. Alexander Parish in Palos Heights. He enjoyed collecting coins, firearms, and celebrating family birthdays with cake and loud singing.

Above all, Jim's greatest legacy is the love he had for family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
