Josephine P. Kleinfeldt (nee Muscia)

Orland Park - Josephine P. Kleinfeldt, age 93, an Orland Park resident, died peacefully Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Palos Community Hospital with family members by her side. She was born on May 8, 1929 in Chicago, to the late Joseph and Aurelia (Jesse) Muscia.  Other than a few years in which she lived in St. Paul Minnesota,  Josephine lived in Chicago.  She was a graduate of Lakeview High School, Chicago, Class of 1947. On October 7, 1950 she married Robert (Bob) G. Kleinfeldt, also from Chicago. The couple celebrated 71 years of marriage with 67 of those in their home in Orland Park, IL.  She was a wonderful homemaker for her husband and children until the children moved out on their own.  Josephine then began working at Montgomery Ward for quite a few years.   Bob raised parakeets and entered them in shows locally and across the United States.  This gave them opportunities to travel to places like Hawaii, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and many midwest cities.  When at home Josephine loved her flower gardens, watching the Hallmark channel, and cheering for her beloved Chicago Cubs. Survivors include her beloved husband, Robert Kleinfeldt (95), loving mother of Steven (Karyn) Kleinfeldt, Newton, WI & Janet Stolarski. Palos Heights; cherished grandmother of five grandchildren: Matt Kleinfeldt, Cara (Stephen) Kramer, Zylia Kleinfeldt, Christopher (Amanda) Stolarski, Megan (Tim) Lozen  and great-grandmother to eleven: Ezra, Cordelia, Sonnet, Hero, Raleigh, Halyn, Isla, Annabel, Josephine, Griffin, and Keller; fond aunt of 4 nieces and nephews: dear sister to Frances (Gerry) O’Connell. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Aurelia(Jesse) Muscia.   Memorial visitation Saturday, October 15th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights.
