Karyl (Ronberg) Ritter

October 24, 1943 — October 1, 2023

Karyl Ritter, 79, of Homer Glen passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

She was the loving wife of 55 years to Joseph, whom she met while working at The Chicago Steel Company.  Karyl, despite her small stature, was a force of nature.  The only match of her spirit was her strong convictions.  She was ultimately devoted to her husband and children as well as eternal optimist.  She loved being a caretaker, homemaker, helping her husband be successful working at his business ventures and voice of reason.  Karyl was the heart and soul of her family, elevated all those around her and will be sorely missed.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; brother, Arthur; father, Arthur; and mother Aili (Louma) Ronberg.

Karyl is survived by her children Laura (LeRoy) Ritter-Martiniak, Christine (Mark) Ritter-Garritson, and Joseph Jr (Jessica) Ritter; her grandchildren Krystal (Lucas) Wyss, Kayla (Michael) Santillo, and Kyle Martiniak; great grandson Weston; and sister, Karen (Robert) Keck.

Interment will be private.
