Lois M. Benda

Lois (Stroner) Benda, 94, of Palos Heights, IL passed away peacefully on December 13th, 2024. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Paul, her sisters June (Harold) Davia and Patsy (Jim) Stice and her parents Tillie and Louis Stroner. 

She leaves behind her children Diane (Benj), Bruce (Jennifer) and Paul L. (Erika) grandchildren Gianna, Allegra, Roger (Annie), Julie and Eric and great-grandchildren Aria and Ozzie. 

Lois was a long-time resident of Palos Heights, having built her own home with her husband in 1954. She and Paul, along with Harold and June, ran the successful masonry business Davia & Benda, Inc. for over 50 years.

Lois loved to travel and was especially fond of pets, having several dogs and cats during her lifetime. In her later years she became a resident of Peace Memorial Village with her faithful caregiver Nijole. Lois was also a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Palos.
