Lucy Bargas (nee Roche) Age 89. Lucy was the matriarch of the family; she was a great cook and loved to read. Beloved wife of the late Roberto “Bob” Bargas. Loving mother of Robert (Terry) Bargas, Lydia (Robert) Moncada, Rick Bargas, Lynda (Thomas) Georgas & Liza (David) Hegeduis. Cherished grandmother of Brigit, Richard (Christina), Adam, Erika (Ashley) & Ryan (Sandra). Adoring great grandmother of 7. Dear sister of Esther (late Virgil) Porter, Rachel (late Charles “Sakey”) Christian, Mary Lou (late Michael) Romero, Emmanuel (Carol) Morales & Alice “Cha-Cha” (late Anthony) Ortiz. Fond family member of Carol Bargas. Kind aunt of many nieces & nephews. Lucy retired from the Kmart corporation & had worked many years there. She also worked at Pullman Wine & Liquor in Roseland as a Cook and she also worked as a Child Care Provider for 3-5 year olds at Greenbriar School. **COVID 19 mandates; masks are required to attend the funeral services; no gathering is allowed to accommodate all guests paying their respects and the funeral home kitchen is closed to food and refreshments. Visitation Friday, January 8th from 4 until 8 p.m. Chapel service Saturday, January 9th at 10:30 a.m. at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights. Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery.
