Listen to Obituary

Manfred (Fred) H. Kasinger,

On November 7, 2025, Fred Kasinger passed away peacefully at the age of 87. Fred was preceded by his wife, who he loved dearly, Mary Louise Kasinger (nee Monroy). He is survived by his sister Olga Mitchell. Fred was a loving uncle to Caroline Bleakley, Norman Bleakley, Donna Weaver and Bob Weaver. He was the beloved great uncle to Brennan Weaver, Will Campbell, Kate Campbell, and Bradley Bleakley.

Fred came to the United States from Australia when he was 17 with his mother and sister. They fled Germany during the war and unfortunately lost their father. He didn’t want to leave Australia but he created a wonderful life here and became an integral part of our family for more than 65 years.

Fred was a skilled and professional upholsterer receiving many accolades for his craftsmanship and for the quality of his work while he was employed for Cook County. Prior to working for the County Fred was an upholsterer with our family business for many years. Fred also worked part-time in the evenings at High Point School in Orland Park where he thrived until his retirement.

Fred was a friend to many due to his easy going, fun nature and willingness to lend a hand. Fred was a magnet for kids and animals because of his sense of humor, jovial personality and kind nature. We are blessed that he has left us with so many fond memories and will be missed dearly.
