Patricia C. Urwin

Patricia C. Urwin (née O’Rourke) passed away on August 31, 2026, on her 86th birthday.

Patricia made her home in Palos Park, Illinois, before retiring to Stewart, Tennessee, on beautiful Kentucky Lake.

She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald W. Urwin and a devoted mother to her six children: Ronald M. (Brenda), James W. (Nadine), William P. (Judy), Patricia L. (William), Michael J., and Catherine T. (James).

Patricia was the cherished grandmother of 18 grandchildren: Ronald, Matthew, Amanda (Sam), Benjamin, Nicholas, Nathan, Ethan, Tessa Mae, Colin (Meg), Caitlin (Will), Sloane, Sydney, Alexandria, Ronni, Michael (Hannah), Rocco, Aidan, and Brianna; and the proud and loving great-grandmother of five: Vincent, Clark, Theo, Beau, and Jude. She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.

She was the dear sister of Edward (Karen) O’Rourke and the late James O’Rourke.

For an extraordinary 41 years, Patricia served as the Head Calligrapher for the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation (IKWF). Her many years of dedication to the organization became an important and lasting part of her life and connected her with generations of Illinois wrestling families.

Patricia also had a lifelong love for animals and held a particularly special place in her heart for the many dogs who shared her home and became part of her family throughout the years.

Above all, Patricia’s greatest legacy is the family she leaves behind. From raising six children to watching her family grow to include 18 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, she was blessed to see generations of her family grow around her.

Patricia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, nieces and nephews, extended family, friends, and all whose lives she touched during her 86 years.
