Beloved wife of the late Barney Reyna. Loving mother of the late Lawrence R. Reyna, Susan (Arthur) Hannus, Glenn (Laurie) Reyna & Timothy (Nora) Reyna. Cherished grandma of Amy (Jerry O’Connor) Hannus, Matthew (Jennifer) Hannus, Sarah (Matt Coldagelli) Hannus, Melissa Reyna & David Otto. Adored G.G. of Reagan, Maverick, Finn, Tuula, the late Isla, Walter & Agnes.

Violet was born in Chicago to Heinrich and Alvina Greenwald and the youngest of 4 children. She attended St. Andrews grade school where her religious faith and foundation began. She graduated from Kelly High School and married Barney Reyna and soon became a mother to Lawrence, Susan, Glenn and Tim. Widowed at a younger age, Violet found ways to continue living a full life and still tend to her faith. She was an excellent quilter and avid reader, remaining active and well-traveled while being a friend to many. She is most remembered by her grandchildren for her faith, grit, pink pie, for fostering our love of cats, and for a good laugh.

Visitation Monday, April 17th 9:00am until time of chapel prayers, 11:00am at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 West 127^th Street, Palos Heights. Proceeding to the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 7800 West McCarthy Road, Palos Heights, Service 11:30.
