 age 57 of Alsip. Dear Father of Kristine and James Lewis in Germany. Evelyn L. “Lynn” Schoenecker  

  of Palos Heights, IL passed away on October 6, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father Dominick Valfre, her mother Sylvia Valfre (Martino), and her brother Jon Valfre (the late Sandra). Lynn was born on July 17, 1937 in Blue Island, IL. She graduated from Blue Island Community High School in 1955, where she met Harold “Hal” Schoenecker. She and Hal were married in 1956. For many years, Lynn worked in the insurance department at Blue Island Medical Center on Maple Avenue in Blue Island.   Lynn is survived by her daughters, Karen Malec (James), Sandra Chaba (Sy) and Debra Dixon (Thom), her grandchildren, Skyler Khalachyan (Yenok), Matthew Dixon (Melina) and Mary Dixon, and many nieces and nephews. She was also briefly survived by her husband, Hal. He passed away just three days later October 9. They were married 66 years.   Her life will forever be cherished by her family and many friends who are invited to gather and remember Lynn and Hal on Sunday, October 23, 2022 at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, IL 60463. Harold L. “Hal” Schoenecker  

 of Palos Heights, IL passed away on October 9, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn, who passed just three days before him. His father Frank V. Schoenecker, his mother Mary Schoenecker (Michaels), brothers Frank Schoenecker (the late Helen), Donald Schoenecker (Catherine), and Cyril Schoenecker (the late Karen), and sisters Katherine Flassig (the late Robert) and Dorothy Majerus (the late Donald) also predeceased him.   Hal was born on October 15, 1936 in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Blue Island Community High School in 1955, where he met Evelyn Valfre (Lynn). Hal and Lynn were married in 1956.   He began his career giving music lessons on piano, accordion and other instruments. Later, Hal trained in electronics, working for many years at Sears in Hickory Hills, IL.   Hal is survived by his sister, Donna Belsanti (the late Joseph), daughters, Karen Malec (James), Sandra Chaba (Sy) and Debra Dixon (Thom), grandchildren Skyler Khalachyan (Yenok), Matthew Dixon (Melina) and Mary Dixon, and many nieces and nephews.    His life will forever be cherished by his family and friends who are invited to gather and remember Hal and Lynn on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, IL 60463. Beloved wife of the late Albert “Bert” McWilliams. Loving mother of Phyllis Syarto (the late John) and Patricia Brongiel (Frank). Cherished grandmother of Gina Minetti (Michael), J.D. Josephine P. Kleinfeldt (nee Muscia)  

  Orland Park - Josephine P. Kleinfeldt, age 93, an Orland Park resident, died peacefully Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at Palos Community Hospital with family members by her side. She was born on May 8, 1929 in Chicago, to the late Joseph and Aurelia (Jesse) Muscia.  Other than a few years in which she lived in St. Paul Minnesota,  Josephine lived in Chicago.  She was a graduate of Lakeview High School, Chicago, Class of 1947. On October 7, 1950 she married Robert (Bob) G. Kleinfeldt, also from Chicago. The couple celebrated 71 years of marriage with 67 of those in their home in Orland Park, IL.  She was a wonderful homemaker for her husband and children until the children moved out on their own.  Josephine then began working at Montgomery Ward for quite a few years.   Bob raised parakeets and entered them in shows locally and across the United States.  This gave them opportunities to travel to places like Hawaii, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and many midwest cities.  When at home Josephine loved her flower gardens, watching the Hallmark channel, and cheering for her beloved Chicago Cubs. Survivors include her beloved husband, Robert Kleinfeldt (95), loving mother of Steven (Karyn) Kleinfeldt, Newton, WI & Janet Stolarski. Palos Heights; cherished grandmother of five grandchildren: Matt Kleinfeldt, Cara (Stephen) Kramer, Zylia Kleinfeldt, Christopher (Amanda) Stolarski, Megan (Tim) Lozen  and great-grandmother to eleven: Ezra, Cordelia, Sonnet, Hero, Raleigh, Halyn, Isla, Annabel, Josephine, Griffin, and Keller; fond aunt of 4 nieces and nephews: dear sister to Frances (Gerry) O’Connell. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents Joseph & Aurelia(Jesse) Muscia.   Memorial visitation Saturday, October 15th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights.

Betty T. Riley 

  94, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, in Palos Heights, IL. Born to the late Matthew T. and Esther (Horan) Riley, she was reared on the South side of Chicago.  She earned her B.A. degree from St. Xavier College and her Masters in Reading from DePaul University.  For decades she was a dedicated special needs teacher in the Chicago Public Schools.  Known for her beautiful voice, she was a long-time member of the St. Alexander choir and the Sweet Adelines. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and her Godmother Gertrude (Horan) Noonan.  She will be remembered fondly by cousins in the Collins, Sehring, Vais, and Noonan families.   Visitation Monday, October 10th from 9:00 am until time of chapel prayers, 11:00 am at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W 127th Street, Palos Heights.
